Dear Friends of Realm Cellars:

We are pleased to announce the release of our 2006 vintage wines. Please keep in mind there is a 3-bottle minimum for this release, allocations cannot be guaranteed, and we reserve the right to not process orders.

Realm Cellars produced five wines from the 2006 vintage – two blends (The Bard, The Tempest) and three single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon wines (Beckstoffer Dr. Crane, Farella, Beckstoffer To Kalon). All of these wines were bottled unfined and unfiltered in June 2008.

We will be pouring all of these wines, along with some older vintages, at our release parties in SF, NYC, LA and Houston.

Since our debut vintage in 2002, Realm Cellars has consistently pursued a simple mission – to produce wines of superior quality in small amounts, hand-crafted from Bordeaux varietals sourced from some of the most distinctive Napa Valley vineyards.  During the last six years we have assembled a portfolio of world-class vineyard sources and we strive to have our wines convey the unique characteristics of these special sites.   

It is worth noting that our 2006 vintage production decreased significantly in part due to the typical yield reduction after an abnormally robust vintage (2005) as well as a significant increase in volume of de-classified wine.  Commitment to high quality standards at the expense of volume will always be a part of the Realm Cellars DNA.  Please recognize that customer loyalty during leaner vintages will be rewarded in the form of broader and more generous allocations in future vintages as our production gradually increases (beginning with the 2007 vintage - thought by many to the best vintage in the last 15-20 years). We appreciate your patience and understanding – we can assure you that your continued patronage will be rewarded.

Our 2006 vintage release is being conducted entirely via our web site and secure online ordering system, where personalized allocations can be found and Wish List requests can be submitted.  Log into our online ordering system using your email address and personalized password, or if you are logging in for the first time use “realm” (lower case, no quotes) as your temporary password (which you may personalize any time after your initial log in). 

While supply constraints require us to apply allocation limits, we have introduced a “Wish List” feature to convey to us your interest in purchasing additional bottles (750 ml & 1.5L) beyond your allocation.  We encourage you to utilize the “Wish List” feature after you have reviewed your allocation – we will do our best to fulfill requests for additional wine.
